THE WAITING GAME

A Documentary by Storytellers

ABOUT THE MOVIE:

“Endless questions without answers, one after another. Sleepless nights, days of planning, studying, fine-tuning and the same, continuous questions in my mind, incessantly, always the same questions, always.

In what part of the world is it still possible to find unexplored areas? Where is it still possible to leave the first footprint in the snow? Where can you enjoy maximum isolation? Is there a place where you can be on your own without compromise, away from everything and everyone, counting only on yourself and your own resources?

If there is a place like this, if you try and combine all these aspects with top level free climbing, not many possibilities are left.”

Those are the questions that you will find in “The waiting game”, a documentary by Story Tellers company about an expedition of three athletes in Perfection Valley, Baffin Island, Canada.

ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACK

When I met ” The Waiting games” directors and producers they asked me something really strange and inusual: they told me to fall in love with this project, to not writing music only for “job” but scoring with passion and following all their emotions during the images.

The emotion of a new travel, a new adventure, a new start and a new place with different people. So the waiting. The endless waiting that will bring to you expectations about what you have to do, and not few stresses because the weather prevents you from start climbing. Until the right moment: now you can see the wall and you can do it! Now can start the challenge and you can climb to the top.

I choose a particular way to compose the music, mixing electronic grooves, orchestra and something like post-rock atmospheres.

I had recoded some real instrument (electric and acoustic guitars, cello was played by Daniele Rossi) trying to get the best production and the best sound as possible.

Below you can listen to the complete soundtrack, enjoy it!
