The story of a mother was the first work that I done with Fablemakers team and it represents my first challenge: It was a great short movie, with a great staff and a really beautiful story that can fits to my personally love for the gothic atmosphere.

The theme of The story of a mother has led me to write an orchestral score with a little epic and dark feelings. Also I choose to use few special instruments to bring the right sound to the movie.

During the writing of this soundtrack I have tried to not only create themes well suited to the characters and situations, but also to use instruments and timbre affixed to the moment  (for example the harp arpeggios continuously during the dialogue between the mother and the river, or the Musical Box to represent the child).

Below you can listen to few extract from the soundtrack:

And now you can catch the complete short movie! enjoy it!
